After rebooting my MBPr, it is now frozen at the login screen showing the list of users. I'm unable to move the cursor or use the keyboard. Booting in safe mode does the same thing. A few days ago, I updated Sierra to 10.12.4, so it might be related to that. Right before the problem happened, I was pruning old third-party Launch Agents and Daemons, but I did not delete any from Apple. That might be related, but I don't know for sure, since I very rarely reboot the computer.
I had a similar problem with a 15" MacBook Pro i7, no response from the trackpad and keyboard, no green light on the "caps lock key" only the power on button was functional. Replacing the trackpad and cable solved the issue for both the keyboard and trackpad functions.

Some of these fixes require a working keyboard. If you don't have a spare keyboard, borrow one. If you connect a second keyboard and it doesn't work either, your Mac probably needs a professional repair.
Disconnect and reconnect the keyboard via the USB cable, making sure the connector is securely slotted into the USB port when it's plugged back in. You can also try plugging the keyboard into a different USB port.
To lock your MacBook Pro keyboard, you'll need to put the computer into sleep mode or lock the screen. To lock the screen, use the keyboard shortcut Control+Shift+Power. To put the computer to sleep, you have three options: close the lid, use the keyboard shortcut Command+Option+Power, or select Sleep from the Apple menu.
Wipe the keyboard with a soft lint-free cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Alternatively, you can use screen wipes or a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a soft, lint-free cloth to remove stubborn stains.
There are several ways to lock and unlock a Microsoft Surface Laptop. If you don't have a keyboard available, you can press and hold the Power button, and then press the Volume Down button.
You can customize the settings of your Surface Pro keyboard by going to Settings > Devices. Select Typing to adjust the keyboard or Mouse & touchpad to change the sensitivity of the mouse.
You can quickly enable the on-screen keyboard by pressing Win+Ctrl+O. Then, to resize it, simply point the cursor to any corner of the keyboard and drag it to your desired size.
Connect your keyboard to a different USB port or to a different Mac. If this solves the problem, your Mac may need to be repaired. Contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for service. Repairs performed by untrained individuals or using non-genuine Apple parts may affect the safety and functionality of the device.

Nobody wants to deal with their PC suddenly freezing while in the middle of working. Next time you need to fix a frozen computer and don't want to restart, there's a little-known shortcut that might help you recover from a common problem.
Depending on the cause of the freeze, this shortcut may or may not fix your issue. If your graphics driver gets stuck, restarting it should let you continue on without having to restart your computer. But if this doesn't work, your PC is probably frozen from something more than your video card.
Should neither of these work, give Ctrl + Alt + Del a press. This is a special key combination that only the operating system can respond to, making it an important step when checking for a frozen PC.
If your computer is frozen and Ctrl + Alt + Del isn't working after some time, you'll need to hard shutdown your computer by holding its power button for several seconds. Should that fail to work, and you're using a desktop, you can pull the power plug. While it's best to avoid doing this unless you absolutely have to, sometimes it's the only way to escape a full system freeze.
NOTE: The command keyis also the Apple key and the option key is also the alt key. The eject keyis found on the top right of your keyboard.
The on-screen keyboard is an integral part of using a Galaxy phone or tablet since it lets you reply to messages, search the web, and do other important tasks. If the keyboard isn't working, like if it's frozen or unresponsive, you'll want to get it up and running again as soon as possible. Using the default keyboard, clearing the cache, and checking for software updates are some of the things you can do to solve the issue.
You can force the keyboard illumination to turn back on by covering up this ambient light sensor, which is located directly to the left of the iSight/FaceTime camera on MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models:
I was just about to return my Macbook to the shop thinking it was broken!!! I wondered why the keyboard lights would come on when I lowered the screen down and then the keyboard lights would go out when I moved the screen back up. Behind me, facing the screen was 3 halogen lights :-)
A locked keyboard is great if you don't want to accidentally hit the keys or to prevent kids and pets from making changes to your computer without your knowledge, but if you can't unlock it, that's a real problem that needs fixing. Fortunately, if your keyboard is unresponsive, there are a few things you can do to get it working again.
Sometimes the solution to the issue of a locked keyboard can be as simple as flipping a switch. In the case of wireless keyboards, the majority of them have an on/off button in order to preserve the battery. Check if the button is switched on.
Step 2: On Windows 7, go to Control panel > Ease of access > Ease of access center > Make the keyboard easier to use. Within the Make it easier to type section, unselect Turn on filter keys and Turn on sticky keys, and then click OK.
Step 2: On-screen keyboard: This is more of a temporary solution, but it's still effective nevertheless. On Windows 10, open the Keyboard section within Ease of access and switch on the Use the on-screen keyboard button.
This could at the very least allow you to type on your system, albeit via a much longer procedure. For example, you could type in the necessary search term for drivers that you can download for your keyboard (be sure to make sure it's from the manufacture's official website).
Step 3: Mechanical damage: Your keyboard may not be working anymore due to certain mechanical damage the product has been affected with. For example, you may have dropped it on the floor and that could have broken some of the modules inside the keyboard itself. Similarly, you may have spilled some water or coffee on it.
I have the v2 of this keyboard, the one with metal Bytom part. The build quality is remarkable. I have tested it for a little over 6 months and I love it. I have to have a full size keyboard standing behind it, just because I don't know all the shortcuts. But that's not a problem for me. Great for gaming since my mouse never collide with my keyboard anymore. Looks awesome even tho I don't play fortnite no more. I have brown switches an I love it.
I gotta say I love the ducky one 2 series to start with so this frozen llama set is perfect. There is a little flex in the case but nothing noticeable while using it. I went with cherry Mx red switches and all I have to say is I didn't choose wrong. Thank you ducky and mechanical keyboard for releasing this!
Initial review after unboxing - - There is a visible screw between the G and H key below the base board that is rather unsightly - same for other screws on the right hand side of the keyboard. This is not so much with the case with my Ducky X Varmilo MIya Pro Enchanting Purple. - I see plastic shavings from the keycap cutting process still on some keycaps (especially the spacebar). Some of the keycaps are bump on the edges. The keycaps also do not have the same high quality feel as my double shot PBT keycaps on my Ducky X Varmilo Miya Pro Enchanting Purple. - The letters on the keycaps are not really see through - I find this to be kind of odd. - The frame is plastic - doesn't feel as sturdy as metal/aluminum. - The key presses/switches require markedly less force to actuate - this is quite odd given I have the same switches on my Miya Pro. - The RGB bleeds through the top of the keycaps more than the bottom - quite subtle, but not uniform like with my Miya Pro. Overall, I think the keyboard is overhyped. If you're going purely for the thematics/color scheme, all of this might literally be outshined by that.
Been using this keyboard since around early july, great build, i love the actuation with my brown switches. USB-C is very nice to have as well and updating the firmware was relatively easy. Im very new to boards so this was a logical buy, and a stepping stone to owning a new board!
Great keyboard, great quality. RBG is pretty easy to get customized, though sometimes it turns off on it's own when setting it up? I'm assuming this is because you need to confirm with fn alt z or x? No clue. Past that, comes with tons of extra keys, a color printed booklet (who does that anymore!? Nice!), a really nice box and protective sleeves which feel premium. The size was a worry, but I instantly fell right into it. Shortcuts are easy to memorize, and are listed in the booklet (volume, brightness etc). Looks the part, and I'll have it for a very, very long time. Matches my unique colored setup, and am really pleased. One suggestion, I might get a black usb c cord. Unless you're a Mac user or you have white cords, it's VERY jarring on an otherwise dark desktop and stands out like a sore thumb. Small complaint and I wouldn't dream of docking the score for it, but something to think of. The cable, port, casing, keys etc are all exceeding my expectations. Very happy, and would buy again. 2ff7e9595c
