How to Fix Deep Sleep Issue on Samsung Galaxy Phones without Rooting or Factory Reset

I have a new issue. Sometimes my iPhone will go into, what could best be described as, deep sleep mode for no obvious reason. The phone will be charged, but if I go to use it, pressing the sleep button or the home button does not wake the phone. Plugging the phone into a power source does not wake the phone. The only way to wake the phone is via a hard reset (holding the sleep button and the home button for 5 seconds). Then the phone will reboot. This issue happens intermittently, but it is happening with greater frequency. When people call me, the phone rings on their end, but nothing happens with my phone. That tells me the phone isn't "off". I have tried restoring the phone, but the issue happened again about an hour after I restored it.

The timing and length of these wakeful episodes can vary. A person may have only a few breaks in sleep or several. They may be awake for just a few minutes or for an extended period before transitioning back to sleep. A person may experience restless sleep, tossing and turning or feeling only half-asleep without drifting off into deeper rest.

In addition, repeated awakenings during sleep have been connected to mood disorders like depression. One study demonstrated a stronger correlation between interrupted sleep and a decreased positive mood compared to reduced total hours of continuous sleep Trusted Source National Library of Medicine, Biotech Information The National Center for Biotechnology Information advances science and health by providing access to biomedical and genomic information. Sleep fragmentation is often a problem for older adults because they experience a natural change in their sleep patterns resulting in less time in deep sleep Trusted Source National Library of Medicine, Biotech Information The National Center for Biotechnology Information advances science and health by providing access to biomedical and genomic information. Sleep disorders like obstructive sleep apnea and Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), which creates a strong sensation to move the legs most commonly, are known to disrupt sleep. Other coexisting medical conditions, including pain, frequent urination at night (nocturia), cardiovascular issues, as well as hormonal, lung, and neurological problems may threaten sleep continuity. Prescription drugs can interfere with sleep, and complex schedules for timing and dosage of drugs may require waking up during the night to take medications.

If you have interrupted sleep that has been going on for a long time, is persistent, or is worsening, you should talk with your doctor. You should also consult your doctor if you have any of the following issues:

Before we see the steps, you should first know what putting apps to sleep actually does. Samsung phones divide background limits into three categories: Sleeping apps, Deep sleeping apps, and Never sleeping apps. Here's what that means:

However, when you put an app to sleep (or deep sleep, to be precise), you're basically commanding it to stop using and interacting with your phone's resources, namely battery life. And without power, an app can't perform its normal functions or run in the background. This is why putting apps to sleep is better than force-stopping them.

Older people wake up more often because they spend less time deep sleep. Other causes include needing to get up and urinate (nocturia), anxiety, and discomfort or pain from long-term (chronic) illnesses.

I have created an android app which runs fine in all phones. But in my Alcatel phone it doesn't as the phone goes to a deep sleep mode and the data network fails so the app doesn't get a data network and doesn't sync the data from the server .

Lab studies show reductions in deep sleep and abnormalities in REM sleep in persons with more than a year of sobriety. REM sleep is characterized by increased brain activity, relaxation of the body, rapid eye movements, and increased dreaming.

According to the American Sleep Association, at least 40 million Americans experience sleep disorders each year. Another 20 million have occasional sleep issues. These disorders cause sleep deprivation, leading to problems with work, school, driving and social activities.

Galaxy S6 Deep Sleep issue has been reported by many users of the latest Samsung Galaxy S6 duo. This problem occurs when the smartphone fails to enter into deep sleep mode when the display is turned off. This leads to some serious battery problems as processor never slows down.

During deep sleep, you pay less attention to the outside world. But while you may be out like a light, some parts of your body are hard at work. Your breathing and heart rate go down, but your ability to fight germs and to form memories goes up.

Experts are still figuring out exactly what deep sleep is for. But they know everyone needs it. A lack of restorative sleep raises your chances of infections, thinking and memory problems, and other health issues.

Energy levels. With good quality sleep, you should feel less tired when you wake up. Your adenosine triphosphate (ATP) levels go up during deep sleep. ATP is a source of energy for your cells. Some experts think this surge is what restores your energy. But we need more research to know for sure.

As we age, we often experience normal changes in our sleeping patterns, such as becoming sleepy earlier, waking up earlier, or experiencing less deep sleep. However, disturbed sleep, waking up tired every day, and other symptoms of insomnia are not a normal part of aging. Sleep is just as important to your physical and emotional health as it was when you were younger.

Pain or medical conditions. Health conditions such as a frequent need to urinate, pain, arthritis, asthma, diabetes, osteoporosis, nighttime heartburn, and Alzheimer's disease can interfere with sleep. Talk to your doctor to address any medical issues.

In many cases, you can improve your sleep by addressing emotional issues, improving your sleep environment, and choosing healthier daytime habits. Since everyone is different, though, it may take some experimentation to find the specific changes that work best to improve your sleep.

Cut down on sugary foods. Eating a diet high in sugar and refined carbs such as white bread, white rice, pasta, and French fries can cause wakefulness at night and pull you out of the deep, restorative stages of sleep.

Make relaxation your goal, not sleep. Try a relaxation technique such as deep breathing or meditation, without getting out of bed. Although not a replacement for sleep, relaxation can still help rejuvenate your body.

Gathering all of this sleep data is only useful if you actually use it. After several nights of tracking your sleep, you'll end up with information on how much "deep" vs. "light" sleep you're getting, how often you move or wake up, time spent in each sleep cycle or -- in some cases -- how much you snore.

If you're sleeping, but not getting much deep sleep: It could mean your bedroom is too hot or cold, or that you need to cut back on caffeine or alcohol. You might also have underlying sleep conditions, like sleep apnea or insomnia, that you should get checked out by a doctor.

Apps and sensors can help you understand what's happening while you're asleep, but they aren't stand-ins for going to the doctor. If you're waking up exhausted all the time or having trouble staying awake during the day, it's worth getting checked out for any underlying issues.

My truck was at the dealership today and this is what I found out. It seems to be a software issue, and today Ford released a patch to fix it. The problem is that the actual patch will not be sent to the dealers until October. I was told I need to just deal with it until then. My salesman in the service manager were both hurry up said that this was the answer that they got from Ford. They tried a repair on a different truck the day before and it seemed to work for a few hours than reverted back to deep sleep mode.

I have been having this same issue on my brand new F-350. Only 58 miles. Have had a week today. Getting multiple messages of deep sleep mode. I did check my battery yesterday and it was a little lower then normal. Batteries could be sitting on a pallet at the factory for who knows how long. So I put a tender on it and let it charge until full . This morning, checked voltage and started truck, everything seemed fine. About 20 mins later I receive another notification. I really was thinking an app issue at this point. So I just called my service advisor and he has informed me that they just went through this issue with another gentleman's truck last week and after working on it all day and working with Ford. That it looks like Ford did not install some sort of battery monitor in these new trucks and didn't even tell the dealers. This monitor relays the voltage info to the app and without it the app just trips the deep sleep mode. They also say a fix is suppose to happen in October but he said he didn't know how for sure and thinks Ford will just update software also. So this makes me believe that they will just take that feature out of app to eliminate this issue all together and we just wont have that low battery alert feature anymore. I guess we will see. Its not that big of a deal but annoying just the same. 2ff7e9595c
